Spaghetti and meatballs is a delicious meal, slow cooked in tomato sauce with full flavor that the kids expect. It is healthy and the meatballs taste so good – it is a dinner option for the family.

In a large bowl, combine all the meatball ingredients and season with black pepper and salt and squish the mixture together until completely mixed.

Using your hands, roll the meatball mix into walnut-sized balls and place them on a tray until you’re ready to use them.

Cook the meatballs:

Use a large saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat.

Place the meatballs in the pan and brown them on all sides or until the meatballs are cooked through.

Prepare the sauce:

Use a separate saucepan and heat the oil over medium heat.

Add onion, garlic, salt and pepper and stir until soft.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, add oregano, bring to boil and simmer until sauce thickens.

Gently add the meatballs into the sauce and continue to simmer.

Add more seasoning if required.

Cook Spaghetti:

Use a large stock pot to boil water, add and cook the spaghetti until just tender.

Drain and transfer the spaghetti onto a serving platter.

Scoop the meatballs and sauce over the spaghetti and serve with a sprinkle of parmesan.
